PARSODA VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT

 

 The village Parsoda is situated at Tq.Vaijapur ,District Aurangabad ,Maharashtra  it is 65 km away from Historical city of Aurangabad.Eco Needs Foundation has adopted this village for it’s overall development.To enfuel the  development of this village Foundation has taken efforts to get this village being selected under Ideal Village scheme of Government of Maharashtra.Under the said scheme Eco Needs Foundation and Government of Maharashtra are jointly working for the development of village. While carrying out overall development of the village primarily we are focusing on development of watershed, development of roads & sanitation , improving Livelihood of the people . Population of Parsoda village is 7500.

ACTIVITIES IN VILLAGE AFTER ADOPTION BY ECO NEEDS FOUNDATION:

Various activities started in the village after it was adopted by the foundation. Some of the major activities include; cleaning of communal areas, technical survey of the village, women empoerment and health awreness programs, tree transplantation, school development, alcohal bann and sanitation facilities especially for women.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BOARE RIVER CONSERVATION

 

One of the biggest project the foundation took for Pasoda Village was the conservation of Boare River. Boare river was the only means of clean water availability for the village. Since the river had dried out the village had been facing scarcity of clean water. The conservation project started with de-silting of the river and expanding the water flow area. After months of constant work, 3km strech of the river was conserver near parsoda.

 

 

 

 Once the desilting and digging work was completed a 3km strech of the river area was finally conserved. After the next rain and proper chanelling of water the river was flooded and after the first flood there was finally a well conserved river with fresh flowing water.

 

 

 

 

Although after the conservation a new problem rose for the villager. during the monsoon and rainy season the river would get flooded which made it difficult and sometimes impossible for the villagers to cross over. Some accidents happened to the over flowing water and seeing this the foundation decided to create a bridge over the rivver for easier transport for the villagers.
