50 Samvidhan Ghar Community Digital Libraries
Building upon the success of the community-library model, the initiative expanded with 50 Samvidhan Ghar Community Digital Libraries, supported under the CSR initiative of India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL).
IIFCL is a Government of India infrastructure finance institution that supports infrastructure development across the country and also undertakes CSR initiatives in areas such as education, digital access and community development.
The foundation of the Dholpur digital library initiative under IIFCL’s CSR programme was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Palash Srivastava, Managing Director (Additional Charge), IIFCL, along with Shri Nivrutti Avhad, IAS, CEO, Zila Parishad Dholpur.
The concept of Samvidhan Ghar goes beyond conventional education. These centres bring together:
Knowledge + Technology + Constitutional Awareness + Citizenship + Community Participation
Alongside books, digital resources and learning facilities, Samvidhan Ghar promotes understanding of the Constitution of India, fundamental rights and duties, equality, social responsibility and democratic values.
In this way, each Samvidhan Ghar functions not only as a Village Knowledge Centre, but also as a community institution that encourages informed citizenship, local participation and long-term community ownership.
Eco Needs Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude to India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) for extending CSR support to the Samvidhan Ghar initiative and enabling the development of 50 Community Digital Libraries across Dholpur district.
