Sustainable Development of Parsoda village

Information about Parsoda Village :

The village Parsoda of the vaijapur Tahsil,District Aurangabad is  the village of neraly about 5000 population. The region falls in the area of rain scarcity and usualy in after every month of January there is acute water scarcity. Along with this there is no any water conservation structure has been erected in the village further there is no facility of sanitation,internal roads,solid waste disposal etc it results into great hardship for people to lead their healthy and happy life.

 Eco Needs Foundation has adopted the village with determination to change the pathetic situation of the village and to develop it as a Eco Village.Therefore the Foundation firstly approached to the people of village and made them aware about problems in development of village and have motivated them to make their controibution for development of their village. with the involvement  of local people Foundation constructed  Farm Ponds in the fields,caused desiltation of local water resources,caused maintenance of  wiers it has caused water conservation in the village and insured availability of water for drinking purpose,Foundation has planted nearly about 1500 trees in the village.Foudation has motivated people for the construction of laterines for their individual use and due to that most of the people constructed laterines for their family use and also to defeat the problem of water scarcity Foundation has introduced innovative model of dry toilets/laterines in the village and made it available to people with the own cost of Foundation.Foundation also made people aware about health hygine and  cleanliness of their surroundings and people have adopted the  practices of systematic disposal of domestic solid waste and agricultural solid waste. Due to the persuation of Foundation internal roads of the village has get properly maintained and constructed by the Authorities.

 This work of our Foundation has been appreciated by Government of Maharashtra by making the involvement of Parsoda village in AADARSH GAON YOJNA/ 2013 ,Ideal Village Project and therein appointed Eco Needs Foundation as a implementing agency for the said project.

Desiltaion of water conservation structure :

 

 

River Conservation Model Developed by ENF at Parsoda village:

 Foundation  developed river conservation model on Bore river at Parsoda under the idea of Prof. Priyanand Agale.with model of river conservation foundation wants to spread message of river conservation is great tool of water conservation.

 

 

 

Water Conservation  activity at Parsoda Village:-

 

   

 

 

 Bridge Cum Water conservation structure :

Bridge cum water conservation structure is a innovative idea developmed by Foundation president Prof. Agale due to which villagers getting twice benift of transportation and water conservation.This structure save the Rs.30 lack  of government.

 

 

 

 

 

 Tree Tansplantaion  Activity:-

There is huge water scarcity in the village in such suitation it is difficult to grow plants along the road side.Foundation has used the concept of tree Transplantation .

 

  

 

 

Cleaning Initiative in the village:

 

 

Under the cleaning initiative, Eco Needs Foundation created awareness among the youth and children about cleanliness and started cleaning of the communal areas of the village manually with the help of villagers. Areas with too much debris and garbage that were too difficult to clean manually were cleared using mechanical means.

 

 

 Dry Toilet Concept :

 Government launched construction of  Toilet scheme under Nirmal Gram Abhiyan but the area where there is water scarcity at that palce it is diffcult to maintain the toilet also in rural area maintance of common toilet is very diffcult.on the occassion of world womens day 2014 foundation provides dry toilet set to PARSODA womens.  

 

 

 

 Training ,Visit and workshop arranged for villagers:

Overall development of villagers, Foundation had conducted agricultural,Medical, & Environmental workshop and also organised visit to ideal village-Hivre Bazar,regular monthly meetings at village, moreover  Foundation taking efforts for education encouragement students of local school of village.

 

 

 

 

  

 

Paver Blocks flooring on school ground and Smashan of the village:

 

 

 Paver blocks ground was created inthe school for assembly and games purpose, where earlier used to be a dirt ground, to improve the school infrastructure. A smashan was also created using similar blocks, for proper disposal of the dead in the village.

 

Gram Sabha Initiative on Alcohal Ban in the Village

 

 

 The Foundation along with Gram Sabha initiative conducted a program to create awareness in the village youth about the drawbacks and disadvantages of alcohal consumption and the health problems created by alcohal. THis led to a shutting down of the alcohal shop that was working in the middle of the village and sucessfully brought a complete ban on Alcohal in the village.
